Prerequisite: I AM Yoga® Level 1 100-hour Immersion

Daily Schedule
• 8:00-9:30 EST Yoga
• 11:00-12:30 EST The Art of Teaching
• 2:00-3:30 EST Principles of Assisting and Applied Anatomy
• 7:00-8:00 EST Teachings of Gurudev Shri Amritji

Features
-Learn to guide students safely and effectively through the 28 poses that make up the complete Level 1 sequence
-Six pranayama (breathing) practices to incorporate into class openings, while in poses or part of savasana and as closing meditation
-Instructions on how to sequence and deliver a series of customizable warm-up poses
-Posture assists and modification clinics to deliver poses in an optimally accessible manner, conducive for any body type and a wide-range of limitations

The Art of Teaching
-Workshops designed to develop your presence as a teacher and cultivate masterful delivery
-Exact instructions on how to create and customize yoga classes for the demographics you plan to work with
-How to structure theme-based classes and workshops suitable for your students’ needs, skill levels and interests
-Coaching to foster confidence, personal empowerment and masterful use of voice and expression
-Understand a yogic perspective on trauma and tips on teaching in a trauma-informed manner to foster wider inclusivity and accessibility

Applied Anatomy
-Gain a practical understanding of how the areas of the body move and are impacted during yoga practice
-Understand how to work with the nervous system to optimize the benefits of yoga in yourself and students
-Learn about science-based health benefits of yoga and how to speak with confidence to your students and clients

Conveying the Essence of Yoga
-Learn how to synthesize and transmit the felt-energetic depths of your practice while teaching
-Understand how to weave the original teachings of yoga into your classes in a relatable way suited for today’s world
-Empower your students to master their practice not only through poses, but by underscoring the mental and emotional tendencies that arise during practice and teach them how to work skillfully to foster greater peace and wellbeing

  • There are two components that make up the I AM Yoga® Level 1 Teacher Training:
    • I AM Yoga® Level 1 Teacher Training Immersion (Prerequisite to Certification)
    • I AM Yoga® Level 1 Teacher Training Certification (this course))

    • You will have access to the course for 90 days beyond the completion of the last Live Session in the Course.

    • All of the accredited hours you complete online during this course will count towards the International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT) Accredited 800 Hour I AM Yoga Therapy Program and toward Yoga Alliance Accreditation (see note below).
