PREREQUISITES: Principles of Ayurveda and General Anatomy


The self-study portion of the program which includes the Units inside this course must be complete before you attend one of the mandatory Live Zoom Sessions. Ideally, allow at least 60-90 days for completion of the Units within the program (this is the Self Study part) before the Live Zoom Session.


Module 8: Applied Anatomy

This component of the Anatomy Module focuses on integrating the yoga subtle body theory, foundations of Āyurveda and the medical model of disease. We will review the major pathologies and disorders of each system and management of these as relevant to the work of a yoga therapist. This includes knowledge of common drugs, surgical procedures, common terminology and pathologies, and how to approach from the point of view of a Yoga Therapist. 

Pre-requisites:
Module 7: Principles of Ayurveda
Module 8: General Human Anatomy


This course is followed by an assignment involving research and development of protocols overseen by a mentor.
